Ryder Wright, a two-time PRCA World Champion Saddle Bronc rider, emerged victorious at the Veater Financial Bronc Match in Coarsegold, Calif., on Saturday, May 11. Wright secured the top spot with an 87-point ride on Corey & Lange Rodeo's Mojave Moon in the finals, earning $12,800.

The event featured 30 of ProRodeo's premier saddle bronc riders and boasted $50,000 of added money, showcasing intense competition.

"These big wins and big bronc matches are always a plus," Wright told ProRodeo Sports News. "They bump you up in the world standings and look pretty good in your bank account too."

Hailing from Beaver, Utah, the 26-year-old now sets his sights on his ninth-straight Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualification. Ranked sixth in the PRCA World Standings with $61,216, Wright expressed confidence following his highest single-day earnings total of the season, bolstered by a recent victory at the San Angelo (Texas) Cinch Chute-Out on April 20.

"This is a huge confidence boost to get the ball rolling into the summer run," Wright told ProRodeo Sports News.

Looking forward, Wright plans to compete at the Redding (Calf.) Rodeo from May 16-18 and the World Famous Miles City (Mont.) Bucking Horse Sale Matched Xtreme Bronc Ride on May 19.

Lefty Holman, a three-time NFR qualifier, claimed second place with an 86.5-point ride, pocketing $9,600, while Riggin Smith secured third place with an 84-point ride, earning $6,400.
